Despite his experience in Germany and America, Sajó did
not design puritanical, simple buildings. He adhered to the
symmetrical masses of (Neo-)baroque villas, accepted in the
public taste of the time, and did not omit façade decoration,
if only because of its representational function expected by
the wealthy clients. However, he did not draw on historicism
in the decorations but rather on his applied arts practice in
Germany: butt angles, pointed angles and zigzag motifs of
Expressionism dominate the facades of both villas.
